SUMMER EXCHANGE PROGRAM

Spend 3-4 weeks overseas with a family that has a son/daughter the same age. That student will spend 3-4 weeks with your US family.

Travel order and schedules depend on each students' schedule.

Exchange typically occurs between mid-June and the end of August.

Program oversight by rotary to ensure safety, quality, and equity.
-
Foreign language skills are encouraged but not required.

ELIGIBILITY
You must be between 15 1/2 and 18 1/2 years old at the time of the exchange.

The first step is to apply for the exchange using the link provided.

Sept. 16 & 30, 2025: Q & A info session

Nov. 30, 2025: Applications due

Dec. 13: Mandatory student/parent Selection interviews at Meridian Valley Country Club (24830 136th Ave SE, Kent, WA)

Jan. - Feb., 2026: Host family orientation and home visits completed
-
Feb. - April, 2026: Rotary matches students and families
-
May 2026: Match assignments completed and shared with family and students

May 17, 2026: Mandatory orientation for students and family at Meridian Valley Country Club

June - Aigist, 2026: Exchanges take place
FINANCES
The cost includes $1200.00 administration fee plus round trip airfare to the host country.
Air travel must be arranged through the Rotary endorsed travel agent, "It's Your World, Travel".
Do NOT arrange travel yourself.
COUNTRIES
Western Europe, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, & Chile.
